Driade We chair

Driade We is the wooden chair designed by Italian designer Fabio Novembre for Driade, a piece that transforms the concept of seating into a narrative work of art. Crafted entirely from solid ash with conical-section legs, the chair features a seat with rounded edges and a backrest shaped to reproduce the profile of a face — the same iconic Nemo face profile. When two chairs are placed side by side, they evoke two faces gazing at one another without ever quite meeting: the "we" as an archetypal symbol of love.

Conceived to elevate characterful residential interiors, the Driade We chair is an exceptional choice for a living room or a design-led dining space, where the aesthetic value of the piece can be fully appreciated. Fabio Novembre, whose work has always drawn inspiration from the human form, describes the concept as: "Giving form to that moment that separates two faces in the act of kissing. Eyes in eyes, distance as a form of suspension in time. An archetypal symbol carved into that space to remind us that the we is already a form of love." The chair is available in two finishes: open-pore white lacquer or aniline-dyed black. The seat height is 45 cm, with a seating surface of 41 × 35 cm.
