Driade We chair

We the chair that, through the use of the profiles of the famous Nemo face, tells the love story of two faces intent on looking at each other without ever actually reaching each other. This chair, designed by Italian designer Fabio Novembre and produced by the famous Driade brand, is made entirely of solid ash with conical-section legs. The seat has rounded edges and the backrest is shaped to reproduce the profile of a face. Two finishes are available: open-pore white lacquer or aniline-dyed in black.

Fabio Novembre has always found the human body to be his source of inspiration for objects, furnishings and designs. This is how this wooden chair was born, telling a love story between two faces.

The designer says: "Giving form to that moment that separates two faces in the act of kissing. Eyes in eyes, distance as a form of suspension in time. An archetypal symbol carved into that space to remind us that the we (WE) is already a form of love".
