Driade Toy decorative armchair

Driade Toy is the decorative monobloc armchair designed by Philippe Starck for Driade, an icon of contemporary design crafted entirely in polypropylene. The absence of joints or removable elements gives the structure exceptional solidity and outstanding durability compared to traditional chairs. Toy appears to have been carved from a single block: sharp edges and broad flat surfaces define an abstract and unmistakable aesthetic, far removed from conventional seating.

The seat, backrest and armrests are designed to provide proper support for the pelvis and shoulders, while the four slightly inclined legs ensure stability across the entire structure. The thick surface allows multiple armchairs to be stacked comfortably, optimising space during storage or transport. A hole in the seat allows rainwater to drain away freely, making Toy perfectly suited for outdoor use. Thanks to its versatility, it is an ideal choice for outdoor settings such as gardens, terraces, verandas and balconies, while integrating effortlessly into indoor environments as well.
