Driade Nemo Green Collection armchair

Driade Nemo Green Collection is the iconic armchair designed by Fabio Novembre for Driade, presented for the first time at the Salone del Mobile 2010. The project was conceived as a celebration of the human figure: the armchair takes the form of a face with classical features that conceals a seat within, drawing inspiration from ancient Greek statues. The name Nemo — evoking Jules Verne's Captain, the beloved Pixar fish, and the mask chosen by Odysseus to deceive Polyphemus — becomes a metaphor for hidden identity. This Green Collection version is crafted from recycled material in black, with dimensions of 135 cm in height, 90 cm in width and 83 cm in depth.

The Nemo Green Collection armchair stands out for its use of material sourced from industrial recycling — derived from controlled internal production waste — and from post-consumer recycling, such as PET bottles and containers collected through waste sorting and transformed into new raw material. A design piece that combines sculptural aesthetics with environmental responsibility, ideal for enhancing the living room or statement spaces with a strong, distinctive character. The armchair is available in a fixed version, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, and in a 360° swivel version, intended exclusively for indoor use.
