Mantis BS5 is a wall light for internal areas created by designer Bernard Schottlander for DCW, in steel and aluminum with a typical elongated diffuser that recalls the head of a praying mantis. The diffuser is supported - on the circular wall base - by a thin stem. An intriguing luminous object, the wall light illuminates various spaces: small day or night corners, reading areas, desks, coffee tables, work tables, kitchen tops and also bedside tables, shelves, corridors and entrance furniture in both residential and hospitality areas. It was 1951 when the designer created this large collection of lamps, also inspired by the dynamism of Alexander Calder's works of art. The details of Mantis immediately catch the eye and each part of the lamp is made with a ductile and at the same time resistant material, to facilitate the rotation and adjustability - in this case - of the diffuser. Refined and timeless, it is ideal for modern designs and styles, from retro to minimal, from country-chic to Nordic. A design product studied in every detail with strong inspirations.
Available in the BS5 SW variant with switch on the wall base and simple BS5 without switch.
