DCW Mantis BS5 wall lamp

Mantis BS5 is a wall lamp for interiors designed by Bernard Schottlander for DCW, created in 1951 and inspired by the kinetic dynamism of Alexander Calder's sculptures. Its aluminium and steel structure features a circular wall base, a slender stem and a distinctive adjustable elongated diffuser, whose silhouette echoes the head of a praying mantis — the origin of its name. Every component is crafted from a ductile yet resilient material, allowing the diffuser to rotate and direct the light precisely where needed.

Refined and timeless, Mantis BS5 blends seamlessly into a wide range of styles, from retro to minimal, country-chic to Nordic. It is a versatile choice for reading corners, desks, bedside tables and shelves, equally at home in residential and hospitality settings. An ideal addition to the living room, bedroom or office. Available in the BS5 version without switch and the BS5 SW version with a switch on the wall base.
