Danese Milano Window Garden Self-Standing is a freestanding hydroponic growing system designed by BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) in 2016. The structure features seven glazed porcelain pots — manufactured by Rosenthal — arranged vertically along a slender powder-coated metal support with a tripod base, secured by steel cables. The outcome is a compact indoor garden with an elegant, minimalist silhouette that brings nature into the home in a functional and visually refined way.

Ideal for enhancing a living room or any domestic interior with a vertical green feature, Window Garden Self-Standing relies on a hydroponic irrigation system that allows plants to receive water and nutrients through pots connected to a shared reservoir. Each pot features a specially designed internal section to support hydroponic growth, and a single reservoir can supply up to a maximum of 8 pots. The self-supporting structure reaches a total height of 2000 mm with a width of 520 mm, making it both visually striking and compact in footprint. Each individual pot measures Ø120 × H 140 mm, while the reservoir pot measures Ø295 × H 350 mm. Please note that the submersible pump is not included.
