Description

Designed in 1972 and reprinted in 2013, Undici, Trifoglio is part of the Sei simboli sinsemantici series, a project developed by Enzo Mari to explore the use of elementary visual symbols as accessible artistic images. The series features six graphic signs that aim to create a visual language capable of bringing art into domestic environments.

Through the use of screen printing, Mari transforms the shape of the clover into a strong graphic sign, defined by clarity and reduction. The simple black shape on a white background highlights the essential character of the symbol, reflecting Mari's belief that design is a universal visual language capable of communicating through minimal and recognisable forms.
