La Rana is part of Enzo Mari's Nature Series, a project dedicated to transforming natural subjects into universal graphic symbols. Through a process of progressive reduction, Mari simplified the image of the frog into a clear and immediately recognisable silhouette, eliminating superfluous details to emphasise its essential form.
