Danese Milano Ipe desk set

Ipe by Danese Milano, designed by Giulio Iacchetti in 2019, is a ceramic desk set composed of three distinct elements: a pen holder, a paper holder and a desk organiser. The project is inspired by the cross-section of IPE structural beams, reinterpreted for domestic use to create essential, rigorous and multifunctional objects. The profile geometry allows each element to be positioned in different ways, turning a simple desk accessory into a versatile support for everyday use.

Designed for both professional and domestic settings, Ipe is particularly well suited to the office, where it helps organise pens, papers, documents and small objects while keeping the work surface visually clean and uncluttered. Depending on how each piece is positioned, the elements can also function as photo holders, smartphone supports or small display surfaces, offering functional flexibility directly generated by the form itself. The three versions differ in size and purpose: the desk organiser measures 200 x 92 x 60 mm, the pen holder 250 x 45 x 44 mm and the paper holder 140 x 140 x 44 mm. Made entirely of ceramic, the set combines material presence with clear design intent, reflecting the longstanding tradition of Danese Milano in uniting rigorous design with manufacturing quality.
