3) Costs & delivery times for in-stock products
We offer fast, secure and trackable shipping door to door across the EU and to Extra-EU countries. Fees include order handling, packaging and transport, with transparent, competitive rates. Thanks to extensive international shipping experience, Diffusione Luce optimizes logistics, also splitting goods when useful to save time and cost, always complying with customs regulations.
EU
- EU customers incur no additional fees, taxes or duties on delivery.
- EU businesses with a valid intra-EU VAT number can register to purchase net of VAT.
Extra-EU
- Lead times vary by country, delivery is to the final address.
- Prices are VAT-exclusive; any import duties and customs charges are borne by the recipient unless otherwise agreed.
- Please note that for shipments to Australia, most of our products benefit from duty-free import treatment.
- For the United States and the United Kingdom, we benefit from preferential customs arrangements that may reduce or simplify import duties on our products.
- For shipments to the United Arab Emirates, import duties are generally low, with an average customs tariff of around 5% applied to most lighting and furniture products.
Italy
- Delivery within 24–48h from payment (excluding Calabria and islands). Shipping cost: €6.99 — free over €150. Remote or hard-to-reach areas: surcharge automatically calculated at checkout.
- Cash on delivery: +3% on order total (min €5).
Rates are calculated based on weight and volume; the VAT applied is that of the destination country. Free-shipping thresholds vary by country: Check shipping costs
We will notify you by email as soon as the shipment is handed over to the courier, including the tracking link to follow each step until delivery.
Orders placed after 12:00 are processed on the next business day.
4) Choice of courier
At Diffusione Luce srl, we select the most suitable courier for each shipment based on our experience, taking into account the period, destination and type of shipment, to ensure timely deliveries and an efficient service.
We rely exclusively on the best international couriers, including DHL, UPS, FedEx, TNT and other partners of proven reliability.
If you have special requirements or prefer a specific courier, you can let us know when placing your order via the order message: our team will do its utmost to satisfy your request.
5) Items not in stock
Products not available in our warehouse are ordered directly from the supplier and shipped as soon as ready.
Average delivery time: 7–21 business days (indicative and shown on the product page). All orders remain trackable and monitored; our support team is available for updates and assistance in case of delays.
6) Delivery, re-deliveries & storage
- Delivery to the specified address or to a partner pick-up point (if selected).
- If absent, the courier reschedules the delivery for the next business day. When available, you can manage re-delivery via the tracking link sent by email.
- Delivery attempts: up to 2; then the shipment is stored (about 7 days).
Address change after dispatch: possible only if allowed by the courier and may incur extra costs.
7) Packaging & fragile items
Each order is prepared with the utmost care, using quality materials to ensure product safety during transport.
For particularly fragile or large items, we may use wooden crates or custom special packaging. If the crate is not provided by the manufacturer, the special packaging may involve an additional cost based on volume, agreed with the customer after purchase.
Our priority is always product safety and customer satisfaction, with transparent service and dedicated support at every stage of shipping.
8) Goods check & signed reserve
It is essential to check the goods upon delivery.
Immediately verify the integrity of the packaging and any signs of impact or tampering.
We recommend taking photographs at the time of delivery before signing the transport document.
In case of anomaly, sign with a SPECIFIC RESERVE (e.g. "damaged parcel", "crushed packaging") and take photos/video of the outer box, inner packaging and product when opening.
Important: the specific reserve and photo/video documentation are mandatory to open an insurance claim for transport damage. Without them, replacement or refund will not be possible.
Damage report: within 3 days of receipt, attaching photos/video and a detailed description to [email protected].
9) Extra-EU — duties, delivery terms & returns
DAP (Delivered At Place): prices are net of VAT; duties, taxes and charges are borne by the recipient at customs clearance.
Returns to sender: If the parcel cannot be delivered or cleared through customs, or if the customer decides not to accept or collect the delivery for any reason, it will be returned to us. In all such cases, the customer is responsible for all related costs, including:
- shipping costs for both the outbound and return journey
- duties, taxes and customs fees charged on the outbound shipment and on the return
- any additional handling or storage fees applied by the carrier or customs authorities
If the customer decides to return the product within the 30 days allowed for returns from outside the European Union, the return shipment to Italy shall be entirely at the customer's expense. Furthermore, the original outbound shipping costs and any duties, taxes or customs charges requested by Italian customs authorities upon re-entry of the goods into Italy will be deducted from the refund amount.
10) Mixed orders & partial shipments
For both in-stock and not-in-stock items we offer two shipping options to meet your needs:
- Single shipment: the order is sent in one go, once all items are available.
- Partial shipment: upon request, we can ship in-stock items first. The second shipment may include a small additional transport cost.
Our team can advise the fastest option based on supplier lead times.
11) Processing days & cut-off
Orders are processed and dispatched Monday to Friday (business days). Purchases made after 12:00 are processed on the next business day.
12) Legal Notes
These conditions are drafted in accordance with Articles 49 (pre-contractual information), 52–57 (withdrawal), 56 (refund timing/methods), 59, letter c (exceptions – customized or on-request goods), and 128–135 (legal warranty) of Legislative Decree 206/2005 – Italian Consumer Code. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction: All purchase contracts concluded through this website are governed exclusively by Italian law. For all matters not expressly regulated herein, reference is made to the Italian Consumer Code and the relevant EU regulations. For consumers residing outside the European Union, these terms are governed by Italian law without prejudice to any mandatory local consumer protections. Any dispute shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Rimini, Italy.
13) Warranty & Defects of Conformity
In the event of a manufacturing or conformity defect, Diffusione Luce srl guarantees the repair or replacement of the product in accordance with Articles 128–135 of the Italian Consumer Code, after verification and confirmation of the defect by our technical department and the supplier. However, for logistical and cost reasons, the return may be managed in two ways:
- Direct collection or replacement through a courier arranged by Diffusione Luce srl
- Refund of the return shipping cost paid by the customer, in both cases after verification of the defect and acceptance of the return by our support team
The warranty and any free replacement are excluded for all damages, malfunctions, or defects not attributable to original manufacturing faults. In particular, the warranty does not cover failures or anomalies resulting from installation not compliant with the manufacturer's instructions, improper or negligent use of the product, tampering, unauthorized technical interventions, lack of proper maintenance, or external events (such as impacts, voltage surges, water infiltration, etc.). Such circumstances, if confirmed, exclude any right to free repair or replacement, without prejudice to the customer's right to receive a paid repair quotation, where technically feasible.

Order status legend:
- Payment accepted: payment received; order confirmed.
- Awaiting payment: order received but payment not completed. After payment it switches to "Payment accepted"; otherwise the order may be cancelled.
- Payment under review: verifying receipt (e.g. bank transfer).
- Being prepared: order sent to the warehouse for picking & packing; for bulky/fragile goods preparation can take more than 24–48 h.
- Shipped: label created and parcel handed to the courier; tracking activates after the first scan.
- Partially shipped: only part of the order has been dispatched.
- Awaiting restock: waiting for availability/confirmation from the supplier.
- Arriving from supplier: out-of-stock items ordered from suppliers and in transit to our warehouse.
RETURNS
At Diffusione Luce, we are committed to offering you a transparent and worry-free shopping experience. If you wish to return a product, you can do so within 30 days from delivery at your own expense, as provided for by Articles 52–57 of the Italian Consumer Code. Unlike the 14 days required by law, we offer you an extended period to give you greater peace of mind with your purchases. Once we confirm the acceptance of your return, please send the goods to the following address: Diffusione Luce srl – Via Raibano 39/D – 47853 Coriano (RN) – Italy or to our return points available in Australia and the United States. Please include your order reference inside the package to ensure smooth and accurate handling of your return.
In-stock products
Within 30 daysThe right of withdrawal may be exercised within 30 days from delivery, with return shipping costs borne by the customer.
Diffusione Luce srl may withhold the refund until the returned goods are received or valid proof of shipment is provided, in full compliance with Articles 52–57 and 59 of the Italian Consumer Code.
The refund will be full, net of the original shipping costs, which remain the responsibility of the customer. In the case of free shipping, the actual delivery cost borne by Diffusione Luce srl will be deducted from the refund.
Out-of-stock products
Within 30 daysCustomized or made-to-order products (for example: lamps with finishes, dimensions, colors, or configurations not listed in the catalog; products with engravings or specific finishes requested by the customer): pursuant to Article 59, paragraph 1, letter c) of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal is excluded. The custom nature of the product is indicated on the product page and confirmed by the customer at the time of ordering. For catalog products ordered specifically from the supplier at the customer’s request (not in stock), the right of withdrawal may be exercised within 30 days of delivery, with return shipping costs borne by the customer.
Diffusione Luce may withhold the refund until the returned products are received or proof of shipment is provided (Art. 56, para. 3 of the Consumer Code).
Pursuant to Article 57(2) of the Consumer Code, the refund will be reduced by an amount corresponding to the decrease in value of the returned item if it shows signs of handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning (for example: missing or damaged original packaging, missing accessories, signs of installation, assembly, or use).
As an alternative to cancellation, Diffusione luce offers the option of a free exchange for products of equal or greater value.
ORDER CANCELLATION
In-stock products
Within 24-48hYou can cancel your order free of charge as long as it has not been shipped. Simply log in to your customer account and submit your request in just a few clicks.
In-stock products are usually shipped within 24–48 hours from order confirmation; we therefore recommend submitting any cancellation request as soon as possible.
Out-of-stock products
Within 3 daysYou may cancel your order free of charge within 3 days of confirmation, before it is forwarded to the supplier for production or procurement. After this period, you may still obtain a refund net of the costs actually incurred by Diffusione Luce srl for processing the order (by way of example: supplier order, materials procurement, production already started, logistics and administrative handling), documented on a case-by-case basis. As an alternative, we remain available for free exchanges with products of equal or greater value, with no deduction applied.

How free shipping works
- Free shipping is available once a specific minimum order value is reached, for products that fall within the standard size and weight limits and depending on the destination.
- For orders below the threshold or for particularly bulky items or products requiring a high level of protective packaging materials, a handling, packaging and management contribution may apply, calculated and displayed directly during checkout.
- This is a minimum amount, lower than the actual cost of the service, applied as a partial contribution toward shipping and handling expenses, and may vary according to periodic carrier rate adjustments.

At Diffusione Luce srl, we are committed to offering you a transparent service with no surprises. For this reason, we inform you that in certain specific cases, shipping costs may require an additional adjustment, always clearly communicated and justified. These cases may include, by way of example:
- a significant increase in fuel prices, resulting in higher transportation costs.
- destinations located in remote areas or difficult to reach, which may require special handling or more complex logistics routes.
- fragile or large-sized goods, requiring special packaging or more careful transportation (higher volumetric weight, wooden crates, etc.).
- buildings or contexts where unloading requires specialized labor, scaffolding, obstacle removal or additional interventions.
What does this mean for you? If your order meets one or more of these conditions, we will contact you before shipment to inform you of any additional costs and request your approval of the adjustment. This way, you can clearly decide whether to proceed or modify the shipping method or carrier.
