Codiceicona Luminator floor lamp
Luminator by Codiceicona is a floor lamp designed by Luciano Baldessari in 1929 and was exhibited on the Italian fabrics stand at the Barcelona Expo. It appears with a dynamic shape that recalls the form of a dancer, inspired by a hybrid mannequin, it changes to the form of an object that best represents the synthesis, regardless of its intended use. Even today Luminator is seen as a necessary, indispensable presence, a symbol of a proven energy called light. A chrome-plated extruded aluminium cylinder is mounted on ball bearings that allow it to rotate, an inverted cone, white, and a red or black rotating arm are the components of the structure. Baldessari wanted to convey emotion with this lamp.
