TCI CASAMBI Interface Wireless CBU-TED Bluetooth Trailing-Edge

The TCI CASAMBI CBU-TED is a Bluetooth wireless interface featuring trailing-edge phase dimming, designed to integrate dimmable LED lamps, dimmable LED control gear and halogen lamps into an intelligent lighting control system. Fully compatible with the Casambi platform, it enables advanced lighting management via dedicated app or traditional wall switches.

The CBU-TED stands out for its installation flexibility: it can be placed behind a traditional wall switch, inside a luminaire or within a ceiling outlet box, making it suitable for any residential or commercial environment. Its compatibility with 100–240 V input voltage makes it globally deployable across EU, USA, UK, Australia and Japan markets.

Main technical features

The device controls loads up to 150 VA at 230 VAC via IGBT-TRIAC trailing-edge dimming technology, ensuring smooth and precise light regulation. Its ultra-compact dimensions — 40.4 x 36.3 x 14 mm — simplify installation in confined spaces. The protection rating is IP20 and the housing is made of PVC material.

Safety and protection

The CBU-TED features built-in overcurrent and over-temperature protection, ensuring reliable and long-lasting operation. Maximum allowable ambient temperature must be observed during installation.

Applications

Up to 127 Casambi-enabled units can automatically form an intelligent mesh network, scaling from a single luminaire to a fully featured lighting control system. The Casambi app is available free of charge on Apple App Store and Google Play Store for iOS and Android devices.
