Forma Rara: design event Riccione
Forma Rara - The Genesis pt.1
Design event in Riccione between lighting and contemporary furniture
There is a threshold beyond which an object is no longer bought. It is chosen.
On March 27, 2026, the Diffusione Luce showroom in Riccione crossed that threshold. Not for one evening, not for a simple design event in Riccione, but for something that hardly has a precise name — and perhaps that is exactly why it works.
Forma Rara – The Genesis pt.1 was this: a moment in which lighting and furniture design stopped occupying separate spaces and began to speak to each other, giving life to an immersive experience in the world of contemporary design.

Lighting and furniture showroom: a space that doesn’t display, but tells a story
The setup was not trying to fill the space. It was trying to empty it — in the best possible way. A few carefully selected elements, arranged like sculptural presences within an essential space.
Lighting fixtures and furniture pieces were not presented as products on display, but as elements of an open narrative. A space where the lighting and furniture showroom becomes a narrative environment.
Those who entered did not find a simple exhibition space, but a point of view.
The light did not illuminate the objects. It revealed them.
The furniture did not furnish the space. It inhabited it.
Design event in Riccione: an ecosystem between lighting, furniture and art
Forma Rara originates from a shared direction — Enrico Facchini, Andrea Marcaccini, Mariana Rodriguez — and comes to life through the meeting of art, architecture and design.
It is not an exhibition, because it has no catalog. It is not a traditional event, because it does not end when the evening is over. It is an ecosystem: a way of thinking about lighting and furniture as parts of a broader system.
Every element present was not there to be sold, but to be understood.
When an icon becomes a unique piece: art, lighting and collectible design
It is precisely within this ecosystem that the boundary between object and artwork becomes increasingly blurred.
During the event, this tension took shape in the reinterpretation of the Nesso by Artemide, transformed by Andrea Marcaccini, SVEN and Emanuele Giorgi.
This is not a customization, but a radical transformation.
The form remains recognizable, but the surface changes: layers of color, splashes and drips break the industrial purity of the object, introducing a more instinctive and material language.
The light — once defining function — becomes part of a broader narrative, where lighting and furniture design merge with contemporary art.
The result is a piece that no longer belongs to the logic of product, but to that of the collectible. An object chosen not only for what it is, but for what it represents: a gesture, a collaboration, an unrepeatable moment.
This Nesso is not for sale. It is the first sign of a clear direction: the creation of limited and numbered editions, developed within future Forma Rara events.
Here, value lies not only in the object, but in the process. In time. In the relationship it creates.
Diffusione Luce: lighting and furniture showroom as a cultural space
With Forma Rara, the Diffusione Luce showroom takes an important step within the landscape of contemporary design.
A space that moves beyond the showcase to become an experience. A hybrid place — commercial and cultural — where lighting and furniture design are expressed as a single language.
Those who enter are not just customers, but interlocutors.

Design events and opportunities for emerging artists and designers
Forma Rara is not a closed project, but an evolving platform.
Diffusione Luce is looking for artists, designers and creatives working with light, matter and space.
What matters is not the size of the project, but the vision.
Future events will be designed to:
- offer visibility
- create connections
- develop collaborations
- build a real context for exchange
A concrete opportunity to enter the world of contemporary design and contribute to a growing community.
Lighting and furniture design: the value of showroom events
Today, showroom events are no longer just exhibitions, but experiences.
They enhance space, communicate identity and create relationships.
In this context, Forma Rara shows how lighting and contemporary furniture can become tools for connection and storytelling.
The Genesis: the beginning of a new path
The name is not accidental. Genesis — a beginning.
Forma Rara is an open, evolving project, ready to welcome new artists and new connections in the world of lighting and furniture design.
