Model 548, table lamp with adjustable spotlight, dimmable LED source, for indoors. Methacrylate diffuser, aluminum spotlight, brass stem. Available in 4 different finishes.
The Model 548 table lamp was designed in 1951, and is a study on the balance and reflection of light through a screen, a recurring theme in Gino Sarfatti's work. It provides both reflected and diffused light, thanks to the adjustable spotlight which is directed towards a reflective screen. The large orange, azure or gray methacrylate diffuser provides a highly sophisticated lighting effect and is an essential part of the illusion and play with perception. The spotlight in white painted aluminum is mounted on a tubular stem in polished or burnished brass, while a brass bar at the base acts as a counterweight in the beautiful balance game.
In the 2013 re-edition, the original incandescent bulb was replaced by a LED source and an optical dimmer was integrated into the original design. The Model 548 table lamp is perfect as a reading light in the bedroom or on the desk, and in all environments that need a touch of classicism and color.
