Astep Model 2109/14 Suspension Lamp with Blown Glass Spheres

Astep Model 2109/14 is a suspension lamp with blown glass spheres designed by the great lighting master Gino Sarfatti, originally conceived in 1959 and reissued by Astep in 2018 in new versions. Inspired by the light of the moon, this lamp is built around a refined and essential design principle: each 140 mm opal blown glass sphere is cradled by a graphic steel ring. The embrace between sphere and ring creates a distinctive and highly elegant aesthetic, while all the spheres are held by a radial structure available in Black or Champagne finishes, ceiling rose included.

Thanks to its striking visual presence and enveloping light, the Model 2109/14 is ideal for enhancing interior environments of all kinds, from residential to contract settings. It suits the living room as much as impressive dining spaces. Each sphere can be directed downwards or upwards, offering a direct and indirect light emission that can be adapted to different needs. The LED E14 light source, with a color temperature of 2700 K (warm white), delivers the lunar, ambient atmosphere Sarfatti envisioned, with a protection rating of IP20 for indoor use only and an input voltage of 220-240 V. LED bulbs are included and the lamp is not dimmable. The suspension cable measures 1800 mm, with an adjustable height between 700 and 1600 mm.

The Model 2109/14 is available in three configurations, differing in number of spheres, overall diameter and luminous flux. The 2109/14/14 version features 12 LED E14 spheres (max 60 W each), with a total luminous flux of 5640 lm and a diameter of 740 mm: ideal for medium-sized spaces. The 2109/16/14 version accommodates 16 spheres for a flux of 7520 lm and a diameter of 950 mm, designed for larger environments. The most spectacular version, 2109/24/14, features 24 spheres, reaches a luminous flux of 11280 lm and a diameter of 1340 mm, capable of becoming the visual centrepiece of any space. The Model 2109/20, with 16 spheres of 200 mm diameter, is also available within the product family.
