Astep Model 2065 LED Dimmable Suspension Lamp

Astep Model 2065 is a dimmable LED suspension lamp born from the creative vision of Gino Sarfatti, who between 1949 and 1950 discovered methacrylate as an ideal material for lighting: lighter and more resistant than glass, capable of turning light into pure visual matter. In its current version, the diffusers are crafted in Green Cast, a 100% recycled and recyclable PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate), made in Italy, which retains the very same aesthetic and functional qualities as the original methacrylate, making this timeless masterpiece even more sustainable.

The Model 2065 features a diffuser composed of two joined opalescent plates, with a diameter of 538 mm and a total height of 546 mm, suspended from the ceiling via an included black painted aluminium canopy. The power cable, also included, measures 3000 mm. The design plays on the elliptical shape and the lightness of the materials, creating an impression of weightless suspension of remarkable refinement. Five E14 LED light sources of 4.5 W each — dimmable bulbs included — deliver a diffused light at 2700 K (warm white) for a warm and enveloping atmosphere, with a total absorbed power of 22.5 W. Dimmer compatibility allows light intensity to be adjusted at will, while insulation class I and IP20 protection degree confirm its suitability for indoor use. Model 2065 can be installed individually or in multiples at varying heights, and is available in three finishes: white diffuser with black cable, white diffuser with white cable, and white and black diffuser with black cable. An icon of twentieth-century Italian design, it brings timeless elegance to the living room or bedroom, adapting effortlessly to both classic and contemporary settings.
