Astep Isol led suspension lamp

Isol by Astep, designed by David Thulstrup in 2023, is a LED suspension lamp that reduces lighting to its most essential expression, combining functionality, aesthetics and acoustic quality in a single piece. The structure is crafted in aluminium, with a sound-absorbing fibre diffuser produced using Snowsound Technology, which transforms Isol into a sculptural element capable of absorbing sound while diffusing light evenly throughout the space. The lamp features an S14s lampholder with two LED light sources totalling a maximum of 12 W, and is compatible with input voltages ranging from 100 to 240 V. Isol is dimmable via cable, allowing precise adjustment of light intensity to suit the needs of any environment. The IP20 protection rating confirms its suitability for indoor use only. Bulbs are not included.

Isol works beautifully both as a single statement piece and in multiple configurations, in residential as well as contract settings such as hotels and public spaces. Its cylindrical form with a 300 mm diameter creates a sense of intimacy and relaxation, making it an ideal choice for the living room or a designer bedroom. It is available in two finishes — cream and black — and in two heights: the more compact 76 cm version and the larger 126 cm version, both supplied with a canopy included. The choice between the two sizes allows the lamp to adapt to different architectural contexts while maintaining the consistent minimalist and sophisticated aesthetic that defines David Thulstrup's creative vision.
