Artemide Tizio Red 50th Anniversary Limited Edition

Artemide Tizio Red 50th Anniversary Limited Edition is the limited edition created by Artemide to celebrate half a century of one of the most iconic products in Italian design. Originally designed in 1972 by Richard Sapper, Tizio returns in this special version in the vivid red that was its creator's favourite colour, with a structure in painted polycarbonate and an articulated system that revolutionised the concept of the adjustable table lamp. This is a signed and numbered edition, produced in only 5,000 pieces.

Tizio is far more than a lamp: it is a functional sculpture, displayed in museums around the world and still today among Artemide's best sellers. Its design has remained remarkably contemporary thanks to the intelligence with which it combines technical innovation and aesthetics: the cable-free articulated system keeps the lamp in constant balance through counterweights, while the arms themselves act as current conductors, eliminating any external wiring. Ideal for a prestigious office or as a statement piece in the living room, Tizio suits both residential and professional environments with equal elegance.

From a technical perspective, the lamp is compatible with LED or halogen light sources with a GY6,35 12V socket, up to a maximum of 35W, not included. Power is supplied via an integrated driver and it operates on a universal input voltage of 100–240V, making it suitable for any electrical network. The degree of protection is IP20, the insulation class is Class II, light emission is direct, and the lamp includes a built-in switch. Dimensions vary thanks to the adjustable articulations: width from 780 to 1080 mm, length from 315 to 660 mm, with a head diameter of 110 mm. The product is not dimmable.

Among the awards that have consecrated Tizio in design history: the Compasso d'Oro ADI in 1979, the BIO 9 Gold Medal in Ljubljana in 1981, the Casamica prize in 1973 and the recognition from the Haus Industrieform Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen in 1980.
