Artemide Mezzachimera table lamp

Designer: Vico Magistretti in 1969

Mezzachimera, designed in 1966 and then produced in 1969, represents a project whose configuration depends on the resistance and shape of the material: a serpentine configuration is impressed on an opalescent methacrylate sheet through hot bending, which makes it self-supporting. Complete with three screw lamp holders make it a luminous sculpture, with diffused light emission. The methacrylate sheet that acts as a diffuser is fixed on a white painted metal base, and the adjustment of the light intensity is adjustable through a dimmer.
