Artemide Mezzachimera table lamp

Artemide Mezzachimera is an iconic table lamp designed by Vico Magistretti in 1966 and produced from 1969, now part of Artemide's Master Pieces Collection. Its form stems from a design concept as simple as it is brilliant: a sheet of white opal methacrylate is hot-bent into a serpentine configuration that exploits the material's inherent resistance to become entirely self-supporting. The result is a luminous sculpture that requires no additional structure beyond a white painted metal base that completes and stabilises its form.

Thanks to its soft and enveloping diffused light, Mezzachimera integrates naturally into refined domestic settings, enhancing a living room or bedroom with a strong and distinctive aesthetic presence. The lamp features three E26/E27 lampholders and is compatible with both LED sources at 3 x 9W and halogen sources at 3 x 46W (bulbs not included), with light intensity adjustable via a dimmer. The input voltage range of 100–240 V ensures compatibility with electrical systems across different countries. With dimensions of 770 mm in height and 220 mm in width, the lamp commands a sculptural presence on any surface without being imposing. The IP20 protection rating and insulation class I ensure safe use in indoor environments.
