Artemide Falkland Floor led Lamp in Filanca

Artemide Falkland Floor is an iconic designer floor lamp created by Bruno Munari in 1964 and produced by Artemide, one of the most celebrated names in Italian post-war design. Its distinctive cocoon-like silhouette is generated by the natural tension of a white filanca tube shaped by seven metal rings of different diameters: a spontaneous form born entirely from the internal forces that compose it, with no superfluous structural element. The outcome is a diffuser of extraordinary elegance, supported by a steel floor structure reaching a total height of 1950 mm, with a base diameter of 400 mm.

Falkland Floor brings sculptural yet intimate character to any residential interior, making it a perfect centrepiece for the living room or any refined domestic space. The filanca fabric acts as a natural light filter, generating a soft, diffused light emission that envelops the surrounding environment with warmth and elegance. The lamp is compatible with an E26/E27 socket, accepting either an 8W LED bulb — recommended for energy efficiency — or a 77W halogen bulb. The bulb is not included in the package. With an IP20 protection rating, this lamp is designed exclusively for indoor use, while its Class I insulation ensures full electrical safety. An on/off switch is included. True to the principles Munari himself defined as essential to good design — simplicity, efficiency, minimal storage space and maximum formal expression — Falkland Floor remains as relevant today as when it was first conceived. The package includes the electrical part with rod, the lamp base, and the filanca fabric with its metal hoops.
