Artemide Falkland 53 suspension lamp

Artemide Falkland 53 is an iconic designer suspension lamp created by Bruno Munari in 1964 for Artemide, now regarded as a landmark of Italian design. Its distinctive silhouette is born from the tension of a white filanca fabric tube and the weight of three aluminum rings of different diameters — a spontaneous form generated solely by the internal forces that compose it, evoking the lightness of a suspended cocoon. An aluminum reflector follows the curves of the fabric, completing a structure that embodies Munari's core principles: simplicity, efficiency, minimal storage bulk and maximum formal expression.
