Artemide Chimera led floor lamp

Artemide Chimera LED floor lamp is an icon of Italian design by Vico Magistretti: conceived in 1966 and produced from 1969, it emerged from his research into shape-resistant structures. The construction principle is as simple as it is inspired: an opalescent methacrylate sheet is hot-bent into a serpentine configuration that renders it entirely self-supporting. The folded sheet therefore performs a dual role, functioning simultaneously as the structural element and as the light diffuser, resting on a painted metal base. The outcome is an sculptural object with an unmistakable organic silhouette, part of the renowned Artemide Master Pieces Collection.

The current version, updated in 2024, integrates a 41W LED source with a colour temperature of 2700K and a luminous flux of 3300 lm, delivering warm, enveloping light evenly distributed by the opaline methacrylate surface. Brightness is adjustable via the Push&Artemide APP system, enabling control of light intensity directly from a smartphone for maximum flexibility. With overall dimensions of 1850 × 226 mm, an IP20 protection rating and compatibility with voltages from 100–240 V, Chimera is designed exclusively for indoor use.
