Description

With the Cadmo lamp by Artemide, Karim Rashid has achieved the feat of wrapping a coat around the light, giving it a unique shape. This creation has received numerous renowned awards such as the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Award and the iF Product Design Award. The designer was inspired by a man wearing a raincoat on a rainy day in Milan. Thus was born the idea of ​​Cadmo: a coat in precious steel wrapped around it, which at the same time releases a soft light, indirect upwards and diffused along the vertical opening of the lamp. The two light sources for indirect and direct emission can be managed separately, with a light regulator configured for controlled socket (touch dimmer).
