Vibia Closer rigid rod suspension lamp for outdoor is a design by Ichiro Iwasaki for Vibia: a semi-transparent textile volume in which the light source — an integrated 26 W LED with constant current at 600 mA — is concealed in the upper section of the shade to preserve the purity of its form. The polyester and PMMA diffuser is finished with a black trim and individually handcrafted from a woven mesh that ensures a uniform, light-filtering texture. Fixing is achieved via an included aluminium ceiling rose, while the rigid metal rod — supplied in two lengths (106 cm or 15 cm, both included) — provides enhanced stability on sloped ceilings or in outdoor environments exposed to wind. The lamp is Push-dimmable, operates at 220–240 V, and delivers a CRI greater than 90 with a 2700 K colour temperature for warm, enveloping light. The IP 44 rating makes it suitable for outdoor use, though installation under a covered area is always recommended.

Perfect for enhancing outdoor settings such as terraces, pergolas and gardens, Closer is available in three formats with distinct proportions: model 1705 (Ø68 × 45 cm, 2600 lm), model 1707 (Ø56 × 54 cm, 2600 lm) and model 1709 (Ø49 × 59 cm, 2600 lm), allowing for composed lighting schemes or a tailored fit to any space. Upon request, DALI-2 or Casambi dimming protocols are available for advanced integration into smart home systems.
