Vibia Closer rigid rod suspension lamp for outdoor

The Closer collection, designed by Ichiro Iwasaki, was created from the simple idea of freeing the form so that the fabric itself defines the lamp’s presence. To achieve this visual effect, the light source is hidden in the upper part of the shade, avoiding interference with its shape. The result is a semi-transparent textile volume available in three different proportions, offering a repertoire of forms that allows the creation of luminous compositions. The shades are finished with a black trim.

Each piece is individually handcrafted. The woven mesh is carefully produced to ensure a uniform, resistant yet flexible texture that filters the light. In this version, the suspension is made with a rigid metal rod available in two lengths, both included. The rigid rod is offered for greater stability on sloped ceilings or in outdoor environments exposed to wind.

The fixing system is achieved through an aluminum ceiling rose designed to integrate into the ceiling. Closer in the cable suspension version is composed of a polyester and PMMA diffuser. The collection complies with current regulations for outdoor luminaires and is designed according to durability criteria. However, it is always recommended to install the lamps under a covered area.
