Vibia Closer rechargeable floor lamp

The Closer collection, designed by Ichiro Iwasaki, was created from the simple idea of freeing the form so that the fabric itself defines the lamp’s presence. To achieve this visual effect, the light source is hidden in the upper part of the shade, avoiding interference with its shape. The result is a semi-transparent textile volume available in three different proportions, offering a repertoire of forms that allows the creation of luminous compositions. The shades are finished with a black trim.

Each piece is individually handcrafted: the woven mesh is crafted with attention to detail to ensure a uniform, durable yet malleable texture that filters the light. This version, which can be used on the floor or on a table, features a rechargeable battery-powered light source that charges via a contact base (included) and offers up to 40 hours of runtime. Closer consists of a diffuser made of polyester and PMMA.
