Vibia Closer outdoor suspension lamp

Vibia Closer outdoor suspension lamp, designed by Ichiro Iwasaki for Vibia, was conceived around the idea of letting the fabric itself define the lamp's presence. The integrated 26 W LED source is concealed within the upper part of the shade, eliminating any interference with its form and creating a semi-transparent textile volume of remarkable visual purity. The diffuser is crafted in polyester and PMMA, with a woven mesh produced individually by hand to ensure a uniform, flexible texture that filters light evenly. The shade is finished with a black trim. Installation is completed via an included aluminium ceiling rose, with a suspension cable of up to 200 cm.

The collection is available in three models with distinct proportions: model 1700 (Ø68 × 45 cm), model 1702 (Ø56 × 54 cm) and model 1704 (Ø49 × 59 cm), enabling the composition of coherent lighting scenarios in outdoor settings or refined interior spaces. All models deliver 2600 lm at 2700K with a colour rendering index greater than 90, ensuring warm, colour-accurate light. Dimming is Push-type, with a constant-current driver at 600 mA included and 220–240 V input voltage. The IP44 rating provides resistance to atmospheric agents; installation under a covered area is nonetheless recommended. DALI-2 or Casambi dimming protocols are available upon request.
