&Tradition X HM13 coffee table

Originally designed in 1959, the X coffee table represents the culmination of the work of designers Hvidt & Mølgaard, drawn from the family archives and reissued in 2025, drawing inspiration from Egyptian chairs over 3,000 years ago. The coffee table combines innovative craftsmanship with a refined, minimalist aesthetic that remains as relevant today as it was over six decades ago. Conceived as part of a coordinated set, the X chair and coffee table are designed to complement each other. A testament to Hvidt & Mølgaard's craftsmanship, the coffee table features an understated yet elegant X-shaped profile linked to a rigid frame that ensures stability and aesthetics, while top features a raised edge with a complex shape. The perfect fusion of materials and concepts demonstrates the duo's exceptional ability to create functional art.

The X HM13 coffee table is made from molded veneer and powder-coated steel. The top is made from veneer sheets pressed into shape around a solid wood insert, which is then milled and smoothed. The stainless steel frame is matte black powder coated. The feet have interchangeable felt inserts already included.

The X table is FSC® certified, made from wood from well-managed and FSC® certified forests and other controlled sources. In keeping with the principles of circular design, the table is designed to allow for disassembly, making it easier to repair and refurbish parts, and allowing materials to be separated for responsible recycling at the end of the product's life. In addition, the flat packaging allows for optimized shipping and delivery.
