&Tradition X HM10 lounge chair

&Tradition X HM10 is an iconic lounge chair designed in 1959 by the Danish designer duo Hvidt & Mølgaard and reissued by &Tradition. The project originated from the exploration of a wooden structure inspired by old tennis rackets: archival sketches reveal how the designers examined and tested materials before arriving at a reclined silhouette with an understated and timeless aesthetic. The seat is crafted in natural woven rattan, supported by a lacquered oak veneer frame, while the X-shaped leg joint is enhanced by a refined solid walnut insert in a contrasting finish, adding visual depth and material warmth to the design.

The X HM10 lounge chair is intended exclusively for indoor use and integrates effortlessly into a living room with a contemporary or Scandinavian sensibility, as well as in a reading corner or private study. Its compact proportions — 72.2 cm in height, 56.6 cm in width and 67.3 cm in depth — make it a versatile choice even for smaller spaces. The plastic feet feature interchangeable felt inserts already included, protecting floors without compromising stability.
