&Tradition Wire Stool VP16

Wire VP16 by &Tradition, designed by Verner Panton, is an indoor bar stool that retains the distinctive geometric steel wire structure of the Wire series, developed from the original idea behind the 1981 Wire Stool. Measuring 44 cm in diameter and 75 cm high, VP16 is made from steel wire rod and steel plates: the wire is bent into shape and welded to create its open, sculptural structure, while the mirror-polished finish requires no additional surface treatment. An integrated footrest enhances the comfort and functionality of the seat.

The Wire Series originated from Verner Panton's experimentation with steel at a time when wood was the predominant material in furniture design. The increased height of VP16 brings the collection's distinctive visual language to a bar-height configuration while maintaining a balance between stability and lightness. At 75 cm high, it is designed to complement compatible bar counters and surfaces and can naturally fit into a contemporary kitchen. A slender, sculptural seat that expresses Verner Panton's geometric exploration through steel.
