&Tradition The Moor AP18 carpet

With the latest addition to The Moor collection, &Tradition introduces a new facet to the rug series with the addition of tactile cotton fringes. Made from a blend of New Zealand wool, The Moor collection is a line of soft, textured rugs created with a desire to succeed people. Each rug is handwoven by artisans in Bikaneer, India, producing a dense, soft, opulent, velvet-like expression.

After the rug is completed by hand on a loom, the warp threads are cut to leave a surplus and then secured in small knots, creating a more informal style fringe.

The Moor AP18 carpet is hand-woven to produce a dense, soft, and highly exclusive fabric-like expression. This texture is further enhanced by the discreet sheen of the material, achieved by spinning a small amount of viscose into the wool fibers. Cotton fibers are used to bind the weave at the end of the process and create the fringes.
