&Tradition Ita OS5 and OS6 bench

The &Tradition Ita OS5 and OS6 bench is a creation by OEO Studio for the Danish brand &Tradition, part of the debut Ita collection that draws an elegant bridge between Scandinavian and Japanese design philosophies. The name itself is derived from the Japanese word for a plank of wood, while the construction technique takes its cue from the miyadaiku carpentry tradition — a centuries-old craft that, from furniture to temples, joins wooden elements through integral cuts, without screws or glue. MDF sheets are shaped with a CNC machine, then covered with an oak veneer and solid oak edges, sanded and protected with a water-based varnish; rounded edges complete a piece refined in every constructive detail.

The Ita bench is available in two sizes designed to suit different spatial needs. The OS5, with a length of 170 cm, a height of 45 cm and a depth of 30 cm (weight 32.5 kg), is the more compact version and comfortably seats up to three people. The OS6, with a length of 230 cm and a weight of 41.5 kg, accommodates up to four people and is ideal for larger spaces. Both models come with non-slip plastic gliders and are primarily suited for indoor use, making them an elegant choice for the living room, hallway or bedroom; with appropriate care to store them in a dry place when not in use, they can also be used outdoors. Ita bench cushions are available as a separate accessory.
