&Tradition AX HM11 Lounge Chair

Originally designed by Hvidt & Mølgaard in 1950, the AX chair sparked an esplosion of innovation. It earned a reputation as the most comfortable wooden chair ever made and has since become a classic in major museums around the world. Today AX represents one of the first times plywood has been molded in 3D. The continuous curve of the arms is mirrored in the structure itself while the expert engineering of the construction ensures unsurpassed ergonomics.

The chair sides are made from oak veneer pressed around a solid walnut insert. The frame is turned, while the back, seat and arms are made of pressed veneer. It is suitable for exclusive use indoors or outdoors but covered to prevent damage to the wood. Available in Oak and Lacquered Walnut or Dark Stained Walnut finishes.
