Melt Mega System is a Tom Dixon suspension lamp conceived for those who want lighting that functions as both sculpture and illumination. Inspired by dripping molten glass and the luminous depths of glaciers, each shade is crafted from lightweight yet durable polycarbonate, shaped through an advanced injection moulding and vacuum metallisation process that gives every element its characteristic organic, iridescent surface. The system integrates 11 LED light sources, with a total absorbed power of just 9W, a colour temperature of 3000K warm white and a colour rendering index above 90, ensuring faithful and enveloping light. The dimmable function allows the light intensity to be adjusted to suit the desired atmosphere, while the IP20 protection rating confirms its suitability for indoor use. Its striking dimensions — Ø1540 mm with a total height of 2000 mm — make it as much an architectural statement as a decorative object. Available in seven different finishes.
