Uto Balmoral is an art project created by the designer as a provocative character, reflecting on the situation of contemporary design. His image is born from self-denial, balancing the desire to appear and the desire to hide. He made his debut in 2011 with the exhibition Maybe/Forse at DAAL Gallery during Milan Design Week, presenting tables “Unstables” and lamps “The Putrella's Connection.” His research aims at expressive and metaphorical design that goes beyond aesthetics and functionality.
