Tatiana Brodatch represents the meeting of the precision of architecture and the freedom of art. Born in Moscow and trained at the Institute of Architecture, she spent fifteen years between Moscow and Milan working as an architect on internationally awarded projects. But a desire for a more intimate and direct form of expression prompted her to embark on a new creative path in 2013. Approaching sculpture and installation, Brodatch chose plastic as her material of choice: malleable, essential, and perfect for shaping deep emotions. His faceless figures tell of the universal: relationships, uncertainties, hidden thoughts. A silent but very powerful language, capable of touching personal and collective chords.
