Marc Sadler is a stateless designer. Born in Austria, he has lived and worked in France, the United States, Asia and Italy. He currently lives in Milan where he works as a consultant for furniture, household appliances, lighting and sports companies. At the center of his research has always been the continuous experimentation of plastics, animated by a great passion for challenges and a strong curiosity.

At the beginning of the 1970s, he developed the first ski boot in fully recyclable thermoplastic material, then industrialized by the Italian Caber (later Lotto), for which he quickly gained responsibility for all the product lines, establishing a long and fruitful collaboration marked by the patent of the boot with a symmetrical shell, which for several years remained the best-selling in the world.
Coming from a branch of industry where research and experimentation with new materials and production processes is more widespread, allows him to export knowledge in sectors where the concept of design limited to the aesthetic form is rooted.

Awarded with the Compasso d'Oro ADI for Drop (Flos, 1994), Tite and Mite (Foscarini, 2001) lamps, Big bookcase (2008, Caimi Brevetti) and Bellevue ice cream counter with Panorama technology (IFI, 2014) ), has received many other important international design awards.
His back protector designed for Dainese is in the permanent design collection of the MOMA in New York and the Mite by Foscarini is part of the design collection of the Beaubourg in Paris.

Despite his well-deserved reputation as a technical designer, Marc Sadler is passionate about painting and drawing, emotionally involved to the point of considering them his most authentic interests.
