Karim Rashid (Arabic: كريم رشيد; Cairo, September 18, 1960) is a Canadian naturalized Egyptian industrial designer.

He received a degree in industrial design from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada in 1982 and completed his postgraduate studies in Italy. Rashid has created over 2000 designs and models, including projects ranging from interior, fashion, furniture, lighting, art and music to installations. Born in Cairo to an Egyptian father and an English mother and raised in Canada, Karim now resides in New York where he runs a private design studio. To date, it has had about 4000 objects put into production [1] and has successfully entered the realm of architectural and interior design, such as: Morimoto restaurant in Philadelphia and Semiramis hotel in Athens. For Italy he has also designed the interior fittings of the University Station of Line 1 of the Naples Metro, a unique example in Italy of a combination of art and urban mobility. His work is in permanent collections in fourteen museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and San Francisco. Rashid has been an associate professor of Industrial Design for 10 years and is now an active participant at universities and conferences worldwide.

In 2010 Karim Rashid signs a limited edition capsule collection with Teence Koh for the Italian clothing brand Peuterey, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the brand's birth
