Stilnovo Lampiatta table or wall lamp

Lampiatta is a table or wall lamp by Stilnovo, designed in 1971 by Jonathan De Pas, Donato D'Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi with the aim of reducing mechanical components to a minimum, in favour of essential geometries assembled without joints or mechanisms. The body is crafted in glossy polycarbonate — available in white, black or red — while the removable support base is made of metal and the helmet-shaped reflector is in white painted aluminium. At the centre of the reflector sits a 7 W E27 LED bulb with a silver dome, included in the package, delivering warm and enveloping light at 2700 K with a luminous flux of 650 lm and a colour rendering index greater than 80.

Lampiatta stands out for its remarkable versatility: the counterweighted structure features four slots placed at different heights, allowing the reflector to be inserted and the light source to be oriented both directly and indirectly, adapting the diffused emission to any setting. By removing the steel base, the lamp is easily converted into a wall applique, making it an ideal choice for the living room, the bedroom or any residential space that calls for a touch of Italian design heritage. The lamp features a built-in switch, a 2000 mm power cord, universal voltage 100–240 V, protection rating IP20 for indoor use and insulation class II. With a total height of 350 mm and an upper diameter of 282 mm, Lampiatta combines design history, functionality and expressive freedom in a single object.
