Simes Microzip LED Comfort is a recessed floor lamp for outdoor use by Simes, designed for walk-over in-ground installation with an IP67 protection rating. The housing is die-cast in "Copper Free" primary aluminium EN AB-44100, offering high resistance to oxidation, with a 2 mm front trim in AISI 316L stainless steel with a high molybdenum content (2.5–3%) and A4 stainless steel screws of the same alloy. The painting process is carried out in three stages: BONDERITE surface treatment with ceramic nano-particles, a pre-polymerisation cycle with zinc-enriched epoxy primer and a polymerisation cycle using polyester powder with high UV and weather resistance, tested to 1200 hours of salt spray. Mechanical resistance is rated IK 09, with a maximum load capacity of 1000 kg.

The Microzip LED Comfort stands out for its high lighting performance and versatility: the retracted position of the light source significantly reduces glare, while the 8 mm toughened acid-etched opal glass ensures durability and protection. The glass surface temperature remains remarkably low at just 37°C (Ta 25°C), making the fixture safe even in high-traffic areas. Perfect for enhancing outdoor settings such as gardens, terraces, pedestrian pathways and access areas, this recessed floor lamp integrates seamlessly into the architectural landscape, delivering effective ground-level accent lighting. The LED source provides a luminous flux of 20 lm at a power consumption of just 2.2 W, achieving an efficacy of 9 lm/W. The LED module is engineered in compliance with LM80 and TM21 standards, with a lifespan exceeding 50,000 hours (Ta 40°C) and colour consistency guaranteed by MacAdam step 3. The integrated ON/OFF electronic driver is compatible with input voltages of 100–240 V, with an operating temperature range from -20°C to +50°C. The product is supplied complete with a polypropylene recessing box for easy installation, an M20 IP68 fast connector and a 0.5 m H07RNF cable sealed with two-component epoxy resin. Front re-lamping is possible without fully removing the fitting, simplifying maintenance operations. The overall weight is 0.6 kg, with dimensions of 105 mm in length and 85 mm in diameter.
