Superonda by Poltronova, designed in 1967 by the radical Florentine group Archizoom, is the first dynamic sofa without a shell. The object emerges from cutting a polyurethane block into two waves that interlock and overlap.

Measuring 100 × 240 × 36 cm, Superonda generates lightness and modularity through configurative variations. The two waves, cut from a single polyurethane block through an "S" cut, interlock and overlap, shaping different configurations of the seat.
