The Quasar portable lamp, elegant, modern and unique, is the result of two years of research that have given life to an eccentric but sustainable design. In designing that, Samy Rio drew on the organic form of bamboo, creating controlled lines that give a sense of purity and extravagance. Its name is a direct reference to astronomy, in fact Quasar is the contraction of QUASi-stellAR, an extremely bright galactic nucleus.

Made with recyclable and durable materials, it is designed to last as long as possible. The base is made of 25% recycled ABS and is impact resistant, while the top "lid" is made of 20% recycled and corrosion resistant anodized aluminum. It is also equipped with a UV resistant polyester cord, making it easy to carry or hang.

Quasar works with LED technology, for a more energy efficient, ecological and sustainable light. It has a dimmer that includes temperature regulation (from "warm white" to "cool white") and three light intensities (25%-50%-100%), for a total of nine different light combinations. IP54 certified, it is protected from dust and water jets, and can be used both outdoors on a terrace or around the pool, and indoors above a table, desk or on the ground. Thanks to the cord it can also be hung from a pergola, a tree or any other support. It boasts impressive battery life: 6 hours at full light intensity, 12 hours at 50% capacity and 24 hours at 25% capacity. It is available in five finishes with associated cord.
