Oluce Sonora 437 Suspension Lamp in Metal

Oluce Sonora 437 is a metal suspension lamp designed by Vico Magistretti for Oluce in 1976, and one of the most iconic expressions of Italian design. Its form is the result of a lifelong pursuit of pure geometry: simplification as a guiding principle, clarity as a formal language. Crafted from turned aluminium, the Sonora 437 stands out for its manufacturing quality and refined finishes, available in gold or glossy black with a white interior. The light emission is diffused and reflected, as the bell-shaped shade distributes light evenly downward and to the sides.

With a diameter of 38 cm and a height of 19 cm, the Sonora 437 adapts elegantly to a wide range of residential settings: it is ideal above a dining table, in an entrance hall or in a living room with a contemporary or classic character. The lamp comes complete with an integrated black cable (length 240 cm) and a black canopy (Ø15.9 × 4.2 cm). The lampholder is E26-E27, compatible with LED sources up to max 60W; the bulb is not included. The input voltage ranges from 100 to 240 V, ensuring compatibility with the main international standards (EU, USA, UK, AUS, JAP). The degree of protection is IP20 and the insulation class is Class I. More than forty years after its creation, the Sonora remains one of Magistretti's most celebrated designs, combining formal rigour and visual warmth in any interior.
