Oluce Sonora 408 Suspension Lamp in Metal

Oluce Sonora 408 is a metal suspension lamp designed by Vico Magistretti for Oluce, created in 1976 and since established as one of the most iconic pieces in Italian design history. Its form embodies a lifelong pursuit of pure geometry: the principle of simplification translated into a circular silhouette with a 50 cm diameter and 25 cm height, crafted in turned aluminium with a white interior finish. The lamp is available in gold and glossy black finishes, and comes complete with a black cable and black canopy included in the package.

With its diffused and reflected light emission, the Sonora 408 creates a warm and enveloping atmosphere, making it ideal for interiors with a strong design identity. It works beautifully above a dining table or as a focal point in the living room, where its essential geometry complements both classic and contemporary furnishings. The lamp accepts a LED light source up to max 60W with an E26/E27 lampholder, not included, and supports a universal input voltage of 100–240 V, making it suitable for use across multiple countries. The IP20 protection rating confirms its suitability for indoor use, while insulation class I ensures safe installation. The included canopy measures 15.9 cm in diameter by 4.2 cm in height, and the cable length reaches 240 cm for maximum installation flexibility.
