Oluce 1953 is a historic floor lamp conceived as a tribute to the masters of Italian lighting design: a reissue of an iconic 1950s piece created by designers Ostuni and Forti and produced by Oluce. Its name pays direct homage to the year of its first creation, celebrating a decade that shaped the history of modern design. Crafted entirely in metal, the lamp is defined by the refined contrast between matt black — used for the outer lampshade, base and handle — and the satin gold of the stem and inner lampshade surface. The most distinctive feature is the cylindrical shade, positioned off-centre to the side of the stem, a design choice that elegantly redefines the very concept of a traditional lampshade.
