Memphis Santa Fe suspension lamp

Memphis Santa Fe is a suspension lamp designed by Matteo Thun for Memphis Milano in 1983, crafted in ceramic and now considered an icon of the Memphis movement. The shade, essentially white at its base, is crossed by bold red zig-zag lightning bolts that seem to explode from the surface, evoking the vibrant energy of comic books and the provocative spirit that made Memphis design celebrated worldwide. The chromatic contrast between the clean white of the ceramic and the vivid red creates an object that is as much light as it is an aesthetic statement, reinventing space with irony and unmistakable character.
