Ginza by Masanori Umeda is a piece of furniture that embodies the playful and visionary essence of the Memphis Milano movement. Its unique and ironic shape recalls the robots and mecha of 1970s and 1980s Japanese culture, transforming a piece of furniture into a figure that seems to come to life. This stylistic choice celebrates the influence of science fiction and pop design, bringing fantastic imagery into the domestic environment.

Made of lacquered wood and decorative laminate, Ginza is enhanced by chrome-plated metal details that accentuate its futuristic and technological appearance. Bold colours and textures combine in a dynamic visual play, making the furniture not only functional but also an eye-catching sculptural piece. Its aesthetic breaks with the minimalist tradition, favouring irony, exuberance and the intense visual language typical of Memphis.
