Memphis Garda vase

Garda by Matteo Thun is a work that explores the beauty of minimalism through the use of white porcelain, a material that takes centre stage in its simplicity. Part of the series of porcelain objects created for Memphis, this amphora stands out for its unusual shape and innovative design. It is not the colour that catches the eye, but rather the originality of its silhouette, which invites the observer to a deeper visual interaction and a reflection on tradition and innovation. With its ironic handles, Garda makes a clear reference to the classical amphora tradition, but with a contemporary approach that challenges convention. The shape, turned and shaped by hand, breaks away from traditional lines, creating an object that stimulates active participation on the part of the observer, who feels involved in the dialogue between past and present. Made of white porcelain, with kiln-sublimated decals, each amphora is unique and reflects the craftsmanship that characterises its creation.
