Memphis Garda vase

Memphis Garda is a white porcelain vase designed by Matteo Thun for Memphis Milano in 1982, as part of the iconic series of porcelain objects created for the movement. This amphora, hand-turned and shaped with kiln-sublimated decals, stands 250 mm tall and embodies the dialogue between artisanal tradition and contemporary design.

Garda draws attention not through colour, but through the originality of its silhouette: its ironic handles reference the classical amphora tradition, reinterpreting it with an approach that challenges formal conventions.
