Memphis First chair

Memphis First is a design chair created by Michele De Lucchi for Memphis Milano in 1983, a piece that combines functionality and sculptural design in a playful and light balance. The structure in lacquered wood and painted metal comes alive with bold geometric shapes and colour contrasts, evoking an aesthetic that seems to dialogue with the art of Alexander Calder and his famous mobiles. Dimensions are 900 mm in height, 590 mm in width and 500 mm in depth.
