Memphis Dorian table mirror

Dorian by Memphis Milan, in 1985, Michele De Lucchi made a table mirror for Donna magazine as a Christmas present, a design that would become the basis for two famous Memphis creations: Dorian and Ionian. Both mirrors embody the innovative and playful approach typical of the Memphis group, with geometric shapes and bold colours. Dorian is a table mirror featuring a circular reflective surface mounted on a square support, both made of painted wood. The structure incorporates a hinge that allows the mirror to rotate freely, thus adapting to the functional needs and aesthetic preferences of the user. Dorian's rectangular base, painted a bright orange, creates a strong chromatic contrast with the mirror's green profile, enhancing the visual effect and giving the object a sculptural and decorative appearance.
